Timestamp field

The Timestamp field icon (month displayed on a calendar and analog clock) timestamp field stores a date and time of day value. For example, the date and time of an event.

When data is entered, the current user's time zone is stored as well. The settings and behavior of this field is similar to those of the Date field and Time field.

What's this in FileMaker?

Timestamp fields in Claris Studio are similar to timestamp fields in FileMaker Pro apps, except that you can't add formatting but you can display the value adjusted for the current user's time zone.

When connected to your Claris Studio data source, FileMaker Pro apps can access these fields as FileMaker timestamp fields containing the value as entered (the time zone information isn't available in FileMaker).
