Comment field

The Comment field icon (speech bubble) comment field stores a conversation between users on your team. For example, for feedback from the team on the latest changes in this record.

Comment field object

In comment fields, you can:

  • reply to top-level comments

  • like comments

  • edit or delete your own comments for up to 10 minutes

  • format text with most CommonMark Markdown syntax

Note  Comment fields can't be added to form views.

What's this in FileMaker?

Comment fields in Claris Studio don't correspond to a field type in FileMaker Pro apps.

When connected to your Claris Studio data source, FileMaker Pro apps can't access these fields.
